i'm using a 3cp5699a internal 56k and have found a quirk with the drivers. not sure what happened, the modem hasn't been flashed and hasn't been updated to v92 (not supported in my area). the original drivers when installed show the baud rate to be around 65xxx when checking the diagnostics tab in the modem properties on win98. i noticed though that the original drivers don't register as providing a 16550 compatible uart. i downloaded and installed updated driver versions from the 3com/usr support site and now the uart shows as being 16550 compatible, however it reports the baud at only 9600. does anyone know which vxd or dll sets the internal baud for the modem, or know how to possibly get the 65xxx baud _with_ the 16550 uart support? any help would be appreciated, thanks. -brass
