Hi, i'm trying to research on sending out SMS using PSTN.

The standards require data to be sent immediately after connection, but a commercial modem will do a handshake instead. Is there a commercial modem around that can be commanded to have that handshake disabled?

I will appreciate any help and discussion on this. Thanks.

This has been topic of other threaed if forum -

IT is not a matter of 'preventing modem from handshaking' - it is matter of using 2 modems that both have compatible modulation techniques.

You can't use a 'standard' dial-up modem with a SMS system unless there the SMS system were to use a standard protocol suppoted in client modem;
The SMS system does not use a standard dial-up protocol.
