I decided to record a V.92 handshake, because many people are so negative about it, and it not working as fast as people say. For me, it always works perfectly. It was recorded with a Creative V.92 Modem Blaster (external). There was a 46667 bps connection reported, with V.44 compression, but without PCM Upstream (28800 bps upstream). The file can be found on http://mippo.big-blue-fish.com/stuff/creative_v92.mp3 and it's only 46kb (11 seconds, hehe)! I still have the WAV too if anybody wants (slightly) better quality. Have fun! - Mippo P.S. You could also put it on Modemsite if you want |

Mippo Tl Posts: 9 Netherlands | Posted - 6/18/2004 10:40:43 PM The model number is DE5721. I don't know what chipset it has because it doesn't have that code to look it up (or are there any other simple ways?), because I don't live in the USA. I have an internal Conexant modem, and the AT commands are all the same with my external Creative one, so I think so. The DIL is also the same as my Conexant one, and the one from Andy's Conexant on the handshakes page, if that's of any matter. Oh, by the way, my real name is Pim Heijnen, Mippo is just a nickname... so if you would like to change it on that page, thanks! And I'm honoured to be on your website too EDIT: I just found this in an update .inf file: ****************************************************************** I guess that clears things up |
