Does the USR 2973 OEM model support Distinctive Ring (it would be going into a Windows ME system with WinFax Pro)?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a internal modem which supports Distinctive Ring (Telus's Smart Ring)?

Thanks
Blake

Do not see any drivers that support windows ME.
http://www.usr.com/support/product-template.asp?prod=oem

The below is out of the inf file.
USR2973-OEM.exe
Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP INF Support for U.S. Robotics V92 Fax PCI (USR2973-OEM).
DriverVer = 09/22/2003, 5.22.70.00
I would say it does support dring.Note

Thanks

Cheyenne Bitware 3.3 is a FREE software that supports fax/voice/data (download of internet). This software is compatible with distinctive ring(telus smart ring).
If your modem does not have call discrimination ability or you're operating windows xp, there is a simple way around this.
With bitware you are able to setup the # rings to answer fax after. Bitware recognizes telus' smart ring(double ring) as two rings and telus does not.
Assuming you have telus voice mail,
Set you voice mail to answer your calls on the sixth ring, then setup bitware to answer your faxes on the eighth ring. Therefore, if a voice call comes in on single ring and is unanswered telus voicemail will pickup the call on 6th ring not bitware(fax).
If a fax call comes in on double ring, bitware will answer on the 4th double ring(8th single) and telus voicemail will have a chance to pickup.
You do not have to be home to manually receive your faxes anymore.
