I've got an OEM Modem based on the conexant HSF II Chipset - CX11252-II

I've been experiencing a problem whereby the Win XP operating system hangs (completely :( ) when I connect, but this only happpens intermittently (i.e. sometimes I can connect as now, othertimes the system hangs).

I've downloaded the beta DDiX Labs driver (verson 7.12.2.3) to see if this would help but unfortunately not.

Anyone with any ideas on what this is would be greatly appreciated

Try putting modem in a different PCI slot

If you have a NIC in your computer and you aren't using it, disable it in ControlPanel/System/Hardware Device Mgr

Post your modemlog

Might also lower the connection speed down some to a more stable speed.
