Tabris Tl Posts: 2 United Kingdom | Posted - 6/27/2004 8:55:30 PM I'm on my sisters laptop at the moment. There is a slight problem with the modem on my own computer and i can't do anything on the internet! My modem (Hayes V.92 PCI Voice FaxModem) and any other modem on that computer will not receive any info after it has connected to my ISP and because of that, it is as if i'm not on the internet. I would try re-installing it, but i have lost the installation CDand i cannot find the necearry files for a re-installation. My compuers specs are: P4 2.66ghz Any idea on what to do? Thanks in advance, i'd like to make things more clear, but i am only 16 and its 5:00a.m. |
Tabris Tl Posts: 2 United Kingdom | Posted - 6/27/2004 8:58:48 PM Hey again, sorry there is not an edit command so I have to make a new post. The computer with the problems is an e-machines 790 running on Windows XP home edition. Just ask for any more info. |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 6/28/2004 6:35:29 PM Probably a problem with the connectoid settings www.modemsite.com/56k/connectoid.asp You can check with Hyperterminal the ability to connect to the server and receive a login prompt (although Hyperterminal won't allow you to establish Internet/PPP session). Also, check with your ISP as to what settings should be used for the connectoid. Aloha! Richard. |
