Hi All,
My company just issuedus new laptops and we usually connect through 1X wireless, but ocassionally only cellular is avaiable and I have to dial into a 4.8K modem bank. But the internal modem doesn't want to connect at that slow rate. I was thinking that I could use an init string to change the protocol emulation. I tried the following init sting:
+ms=v34,0,0,4800,4800
But it did not work very well. Any other ideas? Thank you!

Might try +MS=V32,1 or
+MS=V32,1,0,1200,0,4800

Might also have to turn off error control and data compression. Might also add , in front of the number to be dialed. Like this ,,,,,XXX-XXXX or disable wait for dial tone.
