I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have recently upgraded my notebook to XP Pro. My computer system now can not detect my modem. I cheecked and my modem is installed enabled and working properly. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do?

If you have done a upgrade you may need to remove the modem from device manager reboot and install again. What notebook do you have. How is the modem listed in the connect using window in your dial up connectoid or in device manager. What drivers are installled.Are there any red x or yellow! next to the modem?

This is a email that I have receive from this problem. I will post it maybe help someone else witht he same problem.

I figured out the problem after your help yesterday. I needed to reinstall my MSN explorer. For some reason it wasn't finding the modem not the computer! Thank you for all of your help and time! I really appreciate it.
