scsiguy Tl Posts: 4 USA | Posted - 7/25/2004 7:20:26 PM The " AT#CLS=? " command returns a " Command not supported " message. No other #CLS commands are listed. If this command is not one that should be used , is the default initialization string editable ?? If so, how can I access it ?? AT+FCLASS=? returns: 0, 1 AT+GCI? returns: +GCI:B5 (USA) Yea, subsequent to the first post, I found additional info at Modemsite.com and downloaded the generic drivers for the THANKS for the info and links. ray |
charles Tl Posts: 5879 USA | Posted - 7/25/2004 7:34:52 PM You can change the string in aol software under expert setup.Note that when you upgrade the drivers to 8.30 that the modem name will change to agere from lucent. Make sure it is listed in the connect using window in dial up networking. Check the modem log for what string is being use. With the 8.30 drivers you could just run the setup, exe in the drivers then reboot. Is this a XP machine? The 8.30 will support the +MS command. Seems odd, in that for the past 5 years or so , he has had use it to connect. Whatever; it's up and running. Thanks much for your support. ray |
