I am no longer able to use MoH (Modem on Hold) with my GTW V.92 Voicemodem. This is a recent problem. I contacted my ISP and was told I may need to download/upgrade a driver. Any help with this?

I am using windows xp. I will check my driver version; is there a download to upgrade the driver? My ISP tech support cannot answer the question.

From the modem you have I would think this is a Dell or gatwaye pc,is this correct and if so what is the make and model of this pc.

If the driver is version 3.5.24 or higher with a BCM modem, do not use BVRP Modem on Hold. Disable that. Then, go to Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options > Modems > Properties. In the Properties, you should see a Modem on Hold tab. Go there, and place a check in the Enable Modem on Hold option.

I have a gateway pc, 700x desktop. The current modem driver version is 3.4.22.0. I checked for any updates, but found none (said my current software was up to date). The MoH still does not work. Is there a site where I can actually go and check the modem for updates instead of going through the modem properties? By the way, there is no modem on hold tab in the properties section. Would an updated driver version take care of that?
