shinbob Tl Posts: 1 | Posted - 7/25/2000 6:21:18 PM I've been having a problem with very poor throughput with my 56K USR Winmodem. With the help of the v.Unreliable site (excellent site, by the way!) I managed to discover that by limiting my connect speed to 33K, I could quadruple my throughput. So I checked the results of the aty11 test, and these are the results: Notice the weird numbers at the 1050 level (KHz?). I don't know how to interpret these numbers, do they imply that I have a serious frequency dropoff at that level? Wouldn't that have degraded voice traffic? Could it be a faulty modem? Also, ati6 reports a ton of "Blers", whatever that means. Block errors, perhaps? I would RTFM, but the manual that came with the modem was designed for idiots in mind. Thanks in advance, and thanks for this web page! -Shinbob |
