Hi,
I have a Conexant v.92 Fax Modem,voice/fax/data.I am having some problems with it.Everytime I try to shutdown my computer my screen shuts down and my tower seems to try to shutdown but it doesn't.I removed my modem from my tower temporairily and I was able to do a complete shutdown without any problems,so I figure that it's my modem that is the problem here.Does anyone have any sugjestions on how or if I can fix this problem.I am running on a P4-1600 Mgz and Windows ME.

Why would placing my modem in a different slot make a difference?

Might be a IRQ conflict with other device.
