| n3d_15 Tl Posts: 1 Australia | Posted - 7/30/2004 3:18:03 PM    Hi every one about a week ago a bought a conexant modem of a friend and installed it into my windows XP pc. Windows couldnt find the driers for the modem and my friend didn't have them either so i downloaded the generic drivers from the www.conexant.com web site. the modem connects and works fine but when it is connected onto the net it has the small speaker on it turned on so you can hear the phone line. I tryed to turn it off thoufh my modem setting and it still doesnt work. can any one here please help me its driving me CRAZY!!!! thankx alot guys |
| charles Tl Posts: 5879 USA | Posted - 7/31/2004 1:05:41 AM This is a known problem with this modem and the drivers on the conexant site are gerneric drivers.Need to look on the modem board to find the FCCID# to find out who made this modem.You could also post a modem log and the VEN number. |
