I have a U.S. Robotics Voice PCI modem (product ID number is 66297600) V.90 and want to be able to upgrade it such that it is compliant with the V.92 standard so I can utilize its features? I have looked at USR website (http://www.usr.com/v92/v-qualify.asp)and it seems not to be upgradeable but have been told that on the Web are sites that have V92 firmware that can be used. I have not been able to find them and wondering if anyone has heard of them, has perhaps tried them, what has been there experience and can post some links.

This modem is a Generic OEM modem. It is a PCI modem and can not be flash. The modem would be controlled by the drivers.
The firmware that you see about on the web would be the modem flash and can only be used for a hardware modem. You would need to get other modem that supports V92.
