I have an HP Pavilion notebook with an ESS #ES56CVM-PI DATA VOICE modem and running windows 98. In device manager and diagnostics checks the modem to be OK but when I try to connect I get the message "no dial tone". Checked it all out and everything is connected properly. I have reinstalled the drivers an no luck. Can anyone help? Thank you.
