Hi,

I'm trying to put together a system for a small office to handle voicemail/fax.

Internet is on a DSL line, and there is one dedicated voice line and the voice/DSL line.

I'm specing out a new system, which will probably use Win XP Pro, but other than that I'm pretty open (though cost is, as usual, a factor.)

Anyone got a recommendation?

Personally, I do not recommend using a modem for voicemail. The results you get with a voicemodem can differ from what others get with the same modem - sound quality and audio level are not predictable until you actually try the modem. (Any modem will do fax - the variable for fax being the software - either basic/free that comes with the modem, Microsoft-supplied free fax with most versions of Windows, or a 3rd-party app).
