| tstick Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 11/1/2004 6:43:30 PM    i have 2 pctel modems out of compaq computers i cannot get either one to detect in bios in a non compaq but they work on compaq computers. did compaq by chance set these up for compaqs only? thanks for any help:) |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 11/2/2004 7:27:01 PM  They did that for sure with some machines & Lucent Win Modem; they may well have done it with PCTel boards as well. PCITree or similar may help you confirm that you can or can't use them. Aloha! Richard. |
