Have Win 2K OS. The modem cannot be detected. Modem is Volcano K56Softkey PCI Modem. The COM Ports especially Ports 2, 3, & 4 are lost. Windows is looking for appropriate modem driver. Windows was deleted because of the virus and reinstalled the OS. Before I deleted the OS, the modem uses COM 4 port. Please help me and direct me to the right driver. And how to reinstall ports of the windows.
Thanks a lot.

You will need to get modem driver and install using the driver's setup program.
Your modem is a Conexant Soft56 chipset -

You should also fix the COM port issue - which is same process as for XP and described here in'ComPort in Use':

The modem cannot be installed using Windows' Add New Hardware.

Aloha! Richard.
