I try install the WinModem of Motorola SM56 PCI Speakerphone in LINUX MANDRAKE 9.2 (FiveStar) with Kernel v2.4.22-10mdk and MotherBoar SOYO. I download Public Driver of Motorola Website for Mandrake 9.2... The Installation is successfull: [root@localhost damy]# rpm -ivh sm56.rpm Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:sm56 ########################################### [100%] Checking version compatibility. Version supported. Generating sm56 with current settings. `sm56.o' -> `/lib/modules/2.4.22-10mdk/kernel/drivers/char/sm56.o' Installing sm56. Adding SM56 to /etc/modules.conf... Installation successful. Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program? Did you configure it properly with setserial?
