I have Windows ME and after I run a test on my modem and then click on capture text it saves the session file into the hyperterminal folder. But when I try to open the file with WordPad or NotePad it's empty. What could be wrong?

"Capture Text" in hyperterminal works like a recording device.
"Before" you test your modem click on "Capture Text" hit the right arrow to "un-highlight" the file path and type in a file name with the .txt extension then click on "Start".
Now test your modem. When your done click on Capture Text / Stop. Your test session will be saved as the file name you gave the file.
