Anybody know what command I put in my modems extra setting to limit my connect speed? My modem is a Conexant-Ambit SoftK56 Data,Fax,ICH

Richard,

I've tried every command statement and still can't get my modem to limit the connect speed. I wonder why it's called "limit" when you want to "maximize" your connect speed. Do you know what the exact command line is?

Test the commands with Hyperterminal connected directly to modem com port;
You can also use command
AT+MS=?
AT+MS?
to show what settings are and what settings are allowable.

A modem log might help too.
