Hello!
I just bought an Agere Win Modem V90/V92 Data/Voice/Fax modem with the 1648C DSP chip. Problem is that it always stalls just after connection.
Just a small amount of data will be transferred before stopping. It connects just fine to my ISP, log does not show any errors, it´s just EXTREMELY slow or stalls completely.
Any one knows what is wrong? My old Conexant HCF V90 modem works just fine (Well, almost. It stalls occationally sometimes, a minute or so, Thats the reason why bought a new modem).

I run Win98 SE on a compaq presario 5900T, and have upgraded the modem driver to version 8.30

Modem log after a call looks like this. (Hangup was finally made by me, but as yo can see, almost no data was transferrred):

Check you connectoid properties and/or create a new one.
In particular, MAKE SURE you do NOT have 'Log on to Network' checked -
