Hello,
I'm trying to find info on the purchase of a voice modem that works as advertized. I have a Creative DI5631 along with SB0060 Sound Card! The sound quality, application software suck and I will add that Creative tech support SUCKs!
I do not want this for the internet, all I need is a communication station.
I need a full duplex voice modem, caller ID, voice messaging, speakerphone that works.

Any input would be appreciated

Creative DI5631 has a TAD header (Telephone Answering Device).
Jumper this to the Sound Blaster sound cards TAD header.

Normally voice modems use the Microsoft "serial wave device" driver and Microsoft Unimodem/V driver for voice functionality.
Using the TAD headers sound quality should improve.

"Voice modems use the UnimodemV Telephony Service Provider (TSP) to interface with Microsoft's Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI). UnimodemV is limited to using the wave format "PCM 8000 Hz, 16 Bit, Mono"."

P/S

For the TAD connection to work properly you MUST use a 4 wire cable.
Most CD rom audio cables are 3 wire.

The modem should have included a TAD cable, 4 wire.
