| joejoe555 Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 4/13/2005 8:30:24 AM    I have a zoom 56K PCI fax modem, model# 2925m. I'm running windows 98 SE. I can dial out to my ISP it verifies my user name and password and I connect. If i click on the connection bites of data are being sent and recieved. But when i open a web browser i get nothing and I cant even ping a website, i just get host unreachable. Any Ideas? |
| cholla1 Tl Posts: 8 USA | Posted - 4/13/2005 11:02:51 AM First after you connect check & see if you are really connected with a telephone connected to your modem.I know this is not recomended all the time but you want to see if you get a dial tone when you are connected .If you do you are not connected even if your PC says you are.If you get the normal modem static you are connected.Sometimes cleaning out your temporary internet files helps this. There are a couple of ways to do this.You should have disk clean up in your system tools.This can also be done from Internet Options. |
