| cholla1 Tl Posts: 8 USA | Posted - 4/15/2005 3:48:18 PM    I was told the FCC had dropped the speed restriction on 56K modems in another post here.If anyone knows where I can find this information so I can confront my ISP with it I would like to do this.I would hope all dial-up users would do the same. |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 4/18/2005 9:44:29 AM  The FCC never had any speed restriction on modems - so there is nothing that could be dropped. (There is a POWER limit the FCC imposes on makers of devices that connect to the phone system.) Aloha! Richard. |
