Hello all....

I am having a slight problem with my 3com Win Modem.
It seems that I can't connect above 40K. I have dug through the forums and did alittle homework, but it's all greek to me! Listed below is my Hyper-Term text capture. Could some one please give me a recomendation as to what I should do to get a faster connect speed? I haven't checked the lines yet, but am assuming that they are OK as my friend up the street (1/4 mile) can connect at 50K and up.

Thanks in advance!! Steve

Try calling other access #s - especially toll #s, and to ISPs using different brand of access server.

Use Hyperterminal to dial if you don't have an account with test ISP

Are neighbors using identical modem and pc? Are they on same type telco facilities? So many variables involved.
