| Wm Cole Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 4/20/2005 1:19:42 PM    Dear Modemsite, Have bought a number of Agere V90 softmodems from you all in the past to work with Win95 machines that we refurbish and ship to African educational organizations. I notice that your newest V92 modem doesn't work with Win95. Can you suggest a source for the older V90 modems that will work with Win95. Thanks, Bill Cole Bill Cole |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 4/21/2005 5:11:45 AM  (I'll have to make sure, but I believe the Softmodem will work with Win95; I think the manufacturer/Agere doesn't list Win95 because the OS is no longer supported by Microsoft. I believe the Win98 driver will also support Win95, but as I said, I need to test/try it to make sure - something I can't do right at this moment cause I need to put it in a machine with Win95 - something I don't have handy anymore....) | v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 4/25/2005 7:21:07 PM Today I went to a Windows95 machine - an old Dell Pentium166mhz that has both ISA & PCI slots - I installed the Agere Softmodem that I sell ( www.modemsite.com/56k/subwv92s.asp ) without a problem - modem works fine....
