I recently purchased an Agere SV92P modem thinking it supported caller ID type 1 but....after reading through the wealth of information at modemsite, I learned that there are two versions of this modem and the one with the 1034C codec only supports caller ID type 2 (I have the 1034c):(

I have had trouble getting 2 caller ID modems to simultaneously work on my PC(Windows 98SE)but have the Agere 1034C working with a Creative DI5652. Based on my success with the 1034C version I am hopeful that I can get an 1035A version of the Agere to work (I REALLY need 2 Type 1 Caller ID modems). Long story to get to these questions - Anyone know of any issues, other than reliablity, that I may have with getting an Agere 1035A to "play nice" with the Creative modem given success with the 1034C? Second, anyone know where I can buy a 1035A modem? Thanks!

I don't think you should run into issue getting a 1035 & other chipset working together in same system.
I do not know source for you to get one, though.
(While it is still not a design goal of Agere, the current .51 driver version for Agere Softmodem may allow 2 Agere SV92P chipset modems to work together in same machine.)

Aloha! Richard.
