Hi,

I am trying to Ping the modem loopback address 127.0.0.1. I am able to ping it. But when i remove the modem card, still i m able to ping the same address? Since this is an error, does anuone can guide me whether is it the correct loopback address or its different?

127.0.0.1 is NOT the modem loopback address.
127.0.0.1 is your computer's loopback address.

The modem does not have a loopback address - the modem is unaware of TCP/IP.
