I installed this on another PC (Dell) then installed XP Home ed. First, XP did not fine the driver. Yellow on Device Mgr. I searched driver from internet then found and installed it. Yellow is removed from DiviceMgr, device is working properly on properties. However, no return when I query. tested thru hyperterminal no respond no dial tone. What could be the problem? As to first issue of not being correct driver - you need to determine what chipset this modem is using, and get correct generic driver for that chipset. Aloha! Richard. |
