I am using Juno Software (paid account) to connect to the net. Usually this is pretty trouble free, but my problem occurred after doing a reinstallation of the Windows 2000 Operating System. I am using a USRobotics 5610b. Modem appears to dialout and handshake, but won't connect. After almost 5 minutes, it will time out. At one point I got an RAS 720 error, but I should be getting this because I am using the Juno Software for connecting instead of a Dunn's connection.
Modem appears to be in good working order and was tested on an adjacent system using WinXP Home Edition. Modem fired right up and connected to the net. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do to fix this connection problem? Is this a problem with a registry setting?

Well if you havent already done so, check out this juno help page, it has a wizard which states it can pinpoint problems. Give it a whirl...
As I understand it, a RAS (Remote Access Server) 720 error means the protocols between the two computers did not match. I would try reinstalling the tcp/ip protocol. I'm not familiar with win2k procedure for doing it but I'm sure if you google it, you will find instructions on how to do this.
Here is a microsoft article on RAS 720 error for win2k. You can dive right into editing your registry, if you feel that's what may be the problem.
Best of luck,
