clevermiss Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 10/11/2005 7:38:43 PM i want to purchase a modem that can work with phone answering machine software that is capable of caller ID and distinctive ring recognition. There is a program called callzap that you can tell which calls to "zap", like the one's that interrupt dinner constantly trying to sell you something. This program must use a modem that has caller ID. Distinctive ring is something I want so I can assign a specific ring type to pick up for fax only. I went to Comp usa and they were clueless. they had about 43 different modems that pretty much all did the same thing...NOTHING...can anyone point me to a particular good quality modem tht will do what i want? thanks to all of you!
