dixiecom Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 10/20/2005 10:22:04 AM I recently purchased a dell computer, and the modem is a intel(r)537ep v9xdf pci. It also came with BVRP 1.12 software pre-installed-for the mode on hold feature with call waiting caller id. I have the call waiting caller id service from my telephone company. My problem is that the MOH notifies me when I have a call coming in, but does not show the name or number of the caller. The computer is only 6 months old, and I called dell tech support, they said for a 49.99 fee, they could help me. I would have thought this would have came ready to work out of the box. I told them that I had a year warranty, but they claimed that it was a software issue, which is not covered under the warranty. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Please help if you have the solution to my problem. thanks, Edited by - dixiecom on 10/20/2005 10:50:44 AM |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 10/31/2005 7:25:22 AM It would be less expensive to throw the overpriced piece of junk modem Dell gave you away and get one that works. Dell is headed for trouble because of their customer-unfriendly lack of support..... Would you buy another Dell? If the answer is yes, you deserve what you get....
