cheismann Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 11/28/2005 1:06:49 PM We have some older telnet equipment that is utilizing 33.6 hardware modems. Recently we've begun experiencing problems with this equipment in locations that also have DSL installed on the same line. It _seems_ as if the active DSL connection is interfering with the analog modems - however, I can't prove or disprove it. Anyone have any experience or resources for troubleshooting this type of issue? We've tried putting DSL filters on the analog modems, but it doesn't seem to make a difference one way or the other. As far as I can tell, the analog modems don't seem to be interfering with the DSL, just vice versa.

You could also test removing the DSL modem from the line, and connect dialup modem to telco demarc with and without filter. www.modemsite.com/56k/demarc.asp (Removing the dsl modem from line doesn't de-activate the telco co portion of the dsl service/signal, but will stop data/modulation of the dsl).
