Hi, I just purchased a HP with a v.92 pci soft modem. The MOH doesn't work. I have driver 2.1.56.0 installed. I had MOH working with my old modem. What should I do? Thanks.

HP-supplied drivers (as well as drivers from Microsoft Windows Update) have V.92/MoH functionality disabled.
The drivers available from Modemsite allow for MoH - so you'll need to replace the driver with a V.92/moh-enabled driver.

Hi, I have the same modem in an HP desktop as well. I'm trying to use a Caller ID software that needs a TAPI-compliant driver. I can't find one. I know this modem will handle caller id, as I've checked it with hyperterminal using the AT code AT#CID=1 and got an OK back. Any ideas where I can get a TAPI compliant driver for this modem?

Thanks,
Mark

All the drivers are TAPI-compliant.
The problem is that the modem probably doesn't support caller id.
All Agere modem drivers support caller id, and will return OK for the command you mention; however, if the modem doesn't have the necessary physical components (hardware), there won't be any caller id info.
To truly test whether the modem supports caller id, you would use Hyperterminal, issue the #CID= command, then, have someone call your number.
If you only see 'RING' - there's no caller id support;
If you see the RING AND the caller id info, then the modem supports (type 1) caller id.

Richard,

The modem in my computer does recognize caller ID info. When I'm on hyperterminal connected directly to the COM port, I can see all the data of the incoming call. It's only when I try to run the Caller Id software that I don't get the info. The caller ID window pops up and displays "No Caller". Got any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Marky-
The problem would be with the caller id software.
The modemlog can be used to log/diagnose problems with software that uses TAPI -
