Hello Guys,

Currently, I have a modem attached to my computer with limited AT command functionality. Unfortunately, this limitation is causing problems during initialization of the modem. When the modem receives "ATS0=0", it does not know how to respond and responds with an error. This error causes Windows to stop all further processing.

Is there any way to disable this command and potentially other unsupported AT commands? I have tried modifying mdmgen.inf in the WINDOWS\inf directory, but without any success.

Thank you for your assistance.

The modem commands in the .inf file are written to the registry when the modem is installed.
So, you need to uninstall the modem, then re-install with the modified .inf file.
What kind of modem is this?

Aloha! Richard.
