I'm getting a modem error. "You have connected your modem to a digital phone line" I brought this machine home to look at it for a fellow employee. So it has been on two phone lines at least and I know mine is analog. I also get this msg with NO phone line connected. I don't know the Mfg. but it is an Intel 537EP chipset. Windows XP Home. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for any advise.
G.

The driver contains logic that's supposed to protect the modem from overcurrent situation that could result in being plugged in to wrong line type.
The modem could be bad; the driver could be bad.
Check to make sure you have the latest/correct modem driver. Make sure you plug the modem line cord into 'line' on the modem, and make sure to use a phone cord that has only 2 wires connected through to the plugs.

Aloha! Richard.
