I recently installed a 56k V.92 PCI Intel(R) 536EP modem. It is supposed to have Modem on Hold with it. I cannot find it anywhere - on my computer or on the installation disk. I took a disk from an older modem and installed ONLY the Modem on Hold program. Everyrthing went fine, and I entered all my preferrences, but when I bring up the window, it says "disconnected". It is an older version, so I'm guessing it won't work with my new modem. I uninstalled it. Went to the website for Modem on Hold, but have no idea which one I should download. Can someone help me with this please?
I am running win XP home. HP Compac Pressario - 160G hard drive, and 1G RAM.

Where did you get the modem? The supplier of the modem should provide you with the modem-on-hold applet.
From www.modemsite.com/56k/intel.asp :
"Intel provides generic drivers: http://www.intel.com/design/modems/support/drivers.htm however, they do not provide a Modem-on-hold applet. If you were sold a V.92 modem with the Intel chipset, the manufacturer (Intel doesn't build modems) should have bundled compatible modem-on-hold software - usually BVRP's NetWaiting or FaxTalk's NetOnHold. While Intel and others provide modem driver downloads, the modem-on-hold isn't included with these downloads."

Aloha! Richard.

Thanks for the reply Richard. I bought it at Best Buy. They assured me it was included. It says right on the box that it "allows the PC user to take brief phone calls on the same phone line that connects their PC modem to the internet - without having to terminate their internet connection". Under package contents, it lists: 56K data/fax voice modem PCI card, RJ-11 phone line cable, CD-ROM with driver and application software, and quick installation guide. On the CD, there are only 4 things to pick from for downloading or installing. Super Voice, AOL, Netscape, and Quicktime. I only downloaded the Super Voice, as I don't care for the other 3 items. And, I picked the driver for Win XP.

Only thing I can suggest is to search the CD (in the supervoice and any subfolders) for .exe or .zip files - the MoH program may be there separate from driver....
Otherwise, return the modem and get something better?

Aloha! Richard.

Thanks so much for your help. I have searched everything that's installed, and everything on the disk, and the few things I did find will not work. time to take it back.
thanks again!
