jasper1961 Tl Posts: 3 United Kingdom	Posted - 4/10/2006 10:29:34 PM       can anyone out there help me.i have just connected my phone line to my pc,so that i can send a fax for a prescription. i used the fax configuration wizard and set everything up the best i could.i have tried sending the fax several times, but it keeps saying "there is no answer".i have tried ringing the number off my phone and i get the high pitched noise, so i know that the doctors fax is working.i would be gratefull if someone with patience could go through the process with me. i have saved a log of the diagnostics which i will post next.this is the location line that i have just copied. :-PCI Slot 5 (PCI bus 0, device 13, function 0) any help would be fantastic many thanks. The modem log does not indicate that an attempt was made to make a fax connection - this would be normal if the fax application does not use TAPI (the Microsoft Windows telephony application interface); however, if you are using Microsoft Fax, it is TAPI - and would indicate that there is no attempt to commmunicate with the modem - cause may be improperly set up (modem not selected).
