Please help me to answer folowing questions:
The progress of dialup modem speed rises from 300bps to today's 56Kbps.
1. Why we have not seen modems supporting speed more than 56K?
2. What the operation and limitation of the PSTN? The description of how a 56K modem achieve this data rate.

3. Is a 56K modem capable of receiving at the 56Kbps bit rate in all conections?
