cantgetcable Tl Posts: 14 USA	Posted - 5/21/2006 10:01:49 AM       i have poor line quality and regardless what modem i used, my best connection was 31.2 kbps.(older modems work much better than new ones). So i tried connection teaming with midpoint 5,two lines ,two modems, and two isp's. with two computers networked together, they could be online simultaneously, but still at 31.2. not what i was looking for. So i ran xp's connection wizard and selected both modems for the connection(supra express and zoom dualmode 56k)and when it connected, it bundled the lines and wow! 60kbps verified by www.pcpitstop.com and lagmonster.org. but heres the catch. Without the midpoint software, it would not work. i tried it without it installed and the connection failed. reinstalled midpoint, and it works. maybe has to do with the NAT router. by the way , it works with a national isp with no effort on their part,(when i asked about mlppp, they just scratched their heads) midpoint no longer exists, but free trials are still available, and the company is now called artera, which has a similar app, as does vicomsoft and their intergate policy manager.
