tyrrel78 Tl Posts: 3 USA | Posted - 7/25/2006 4:56:27 PM Hello It seems that my modem a rockwell hcf 56k Data fax pci modem has been acting up. I have never had a problem with it till about last weekend when the problems started. At the moment we are on AOL via dial up..we plan very soon to transfer to DSL or something faster..but that is not the problem at hand. It seems to be very slow when it connects take a couple of minutes for pages to come up like huge pauses in load time. i dont claim to be the a tech person by it sounds like the modem is will dial the number then have a hard time catching the rest of the call. Been looking at the properties of the devices and it says its working fine. This has got me stumped and i know when to ask for help. So if anyone can offer some help i would trully apprciate it!! tyrrel |

You can see the driver version by looking at (WindowsXP) ControlPanel->Phone & Modem Options -> Modems tab -> select modem; -> Properties -> Diagnostics -> Query Modem Check to see if there is a later driver version, and if so, install it.
