sandipchatto Tl Posts: 2 USA | Posted - 4/23/2007 8:59:42 PM Thanks a lot. It looks like the DELL D850 V.92 PCI modem in my PC doesn't have the voice portion of the driver. Can you help to find a driver with voice support? Is writing drivers for modems a very difficult task? Is it difficult to find modem driver developers? Our company may need one. Sandip C |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 4/28/2007 9:29:24 PM Writing a modem driver for a soft modem, or a controllerless modem is a next-to-impossible task. You'd need a TEAM of highly qualified people to do it - maybe if you had a million-dollar budget.... And, I think I may have misled you with the first response, because it does appear that Dell has OEM'd this modem from Conexant as a data/fax modem without voice.
Aloha! Richard. |
