| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 7/2/2007 7:48:16 PM  To make phone calls over the Internet, you use VoIP (voice over internet protocol), and nothing more than a DATA connection to the Internet is required. That said, VoIP works best when you have a high-speed (broadband) connection to the Internet, but, if you have a decent dial-up connection, you may be able to use some VoIP applications. Skype is one of the more popular VoIP apps - www.skype.com Yahoo, GoogleTalk, and many others are available too. Aloha! Richard. |
