murphywzrt Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 3/16/2008 6:13:09 PM I have been using an internal diamond supr 56k v92 modem for dialup & usually get 40-45k line speed. decided to play with linux , so I got an external "amigo" v92 rs232 serial AME-CA-95 (conexant drv from amigo web site) connected. I now notice that the external modem (running conextant driver)runs at 32k to 37k ?? I would have thought an external modem would be faster. Please tell if there is more I should do. |

The driver really has little to do with an external hardware modem performance - it's the FLASH firmware. Check the flash version. See if there's any other flash available. Aloha! Richard. |
