I have a dell 2400.It has a 56k dial up modem?Is there a way to upgrade this modem to a larger one.Will upgrading the ram help my problem of this being slow?

Can you upgrade the modem to a faster one?
With dial-up, 56k is the fastest modem. You may be able to tweak it - but you need to start by determining the modem's performance.

Will upgrading RAM help a slow modem? No.

What else can you do? - Get a high-speed Internet service - Cable, DSL, etc.
