I've got a Win2k machine with a USR 3com Winmodem in it. Everything goes fine until Im ready to disconnect and when I do it just locks the computer. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Check the IRQ, if it's on IRQ 11 (sharing with USB, normally) you'll get random crashes; if it's on anything other than 10 (or maybe 11), you can get odd effects when you hang up (including crash)
