Lately, when the modem attempts to connect to the Internet, it emits a loud buzzer type noise and does not dial or connect to the Internet. This load noise either happens right when the modem is activated (before even dialing the number) or sometimes happens right after the number is dialed. It takes several attempts for the modem to not do this and actually connect to the Internet. Sometimes a re-boot of the computer does the trick, other times that does not work either. It just seems to take several attempts to log in successfully. Any insight would be appreciated on what my be causing this issue. I always thought that it would be very rare for a modem to "break". I've had numerous modems over the years, and have never experienced a hardware issue on any of them. But, I guess there is a first for everything. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks, Chris |
