Jauja Tl Posts: 9 Panama | Posted - 7/15/2001 11:50:09 AM ok mates!, i have a 3COM/USROBOTICS 56k Voice PRO (with usb but i use it by serial port) with Windows 98, and i just wondering if there are any tips about this modem to make connection more stable... (actually, i dont have problems,.. just want to improve the modem if i can)... also, the init strings seem not to work... (about capping the speed)... any suggestions, advices, etc... are well welcome! Thanks for your time! Further help... email me! |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 7/16/2001 11:14:19 PM How about posting the results from ati6i11y11 after you've been online a while? www.modemsite.com/56k/diag3com.htm As to speed limit commands - some USR firmware doesn't respond properly to all commands; some require both &U and &N to be set; verify the values/commands for the speed limits by using Hyperterminal and giving the modem the display help screen command -

The receive levels you are getting seem low & your xmit level is high; may be in part due to a-law codec (you are outside US), but could be related to equipment & settings at your ISP; Aloha, |
