| CMJ Tl Posts: 2 USA | Posted - 3/15/2002 3:31:48 PM    Is there a way to disable ARQ without disabling error control all together? I got a USR 5686d and this ARQ gives me a lot of lag while gaming but without the error control my connection speed seems to drop any suggestions fellas ?? |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 3/22/2002 11:22:24 AM  ARQ is error control. When there's an error, the modem requests retransmission. (ARQ stands for "automatic repeat request"). Higher modem speeds make errors (and re-transmissions which are bad for gamers) more likely.
